Our areas of intervention

One mission, several dimensions of dignity.

AFDDI’s work addresses the social, educational, health and economic needs that together shape a family’s journey.

Economic autonomy

Micro-projects, vocational learning, social entrepreneurship, cooperatives and income-generating activities.

Social protection

Support for vulnerable families, orphaned children, people with disabilities, widows and survivors of violence.

Education

Literacy, school support, learning materials, vocational training and skills development.

Health and psychosocial support

Referral, awareness, listening and improved access to essential services.

Food security

Agriculture, livestock, modern production practices and local initiatives against hunger.

Citizenship and justice

Human rights, good governance, social cohesion, peace and improved access to justice.

A coordinated intervention

The areas of action complement one another along the same journey.

A social situation can hinder an economic activity, just as a health problem can interrupt training. Support therefore connects responses instead of isolating them.

Community rootedness

Sustainable solutions begin with listening.

Each action starts from local realities and connects to a broader path towards autonomy.
